Use your imagination and complete the following story starters. Add one or more sentences to each story. Story 1 This is a conversation between two adult
students. Add at least one new line for each character (Jim and Mona).

Jim: My car was broken into during the last class. Mona: Oh, that's terrible! Where was it? Jim: Right out front. Mona: Maybe you should take the bus to class. Jim: That's no
better. I'm afraid to walk home from the bus stop at

Read the story and add two to four sentences
to complete the story
A friend and I had been hiking for about
an hour. We were getting closer to the campsite. My friend
was about 50 yards ahead of me on the trail. He stopped to look at
something on the ground. Suddenly, he looked back at me and shouted my
name. Hurrying as fast as I could over to him, I asked him what he had
found. Looking up at me, he said, "You're not gonna believe this...".

Go to a list of story starters. Choose one of the starters, then add a few sentences to create a brief story.
Use a word processing program to write your story. You may print your
story. Let your teacher know if you would like your story published on
our Web site, and it may be added. |
